WHAT CERTS DO I NEED?

STEP 1: COMPLETE YOUR BASIC CERTIFICATIONS

All team officials are required to hold these certifications.

4. SIGN YOUR HC WAIVERS 2025-26

STEP 2: CHOOSE A STREAM

MANAGER STREAM

Basic certs must be completed before applying.
1. COMPLETE YOUR BASIC CERTS
2. CREATE SPORDLE ACCT & LINK PROFILE
3. SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM

ON-ICE VOLUNTEER STREAM

Basic certs must be completed before applying.
1. COMPLETE YOUR BASIC CERTS
2. CREATE SPORDLE ACCT & LINK PROFILE
3. SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM

HOCKEY CANADA SAFETY PERSON STREAM

Basic and HCSP certs must be completed before applying.
1. COMPLETE YOUR BASIC CERTS
2. CREATE SPORDLE ACCT & LINK PROFILE
3. COMPLETE THE HCSP CLINIC
4. SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM

COACHING STREAM

Coaching applications can be submitted before coaching certs have been completed, but basic certs must be completed.
1. COMPLETE YOUR BASIC CERTS
2. CREATE SPORDLE ACCT & LINK PROFILE
3. CHECK GRID FOR REQ'D COACH CERTS
4. REGISTER FOR COACHING CLINICS
ENSURE "SEASON" DROPDOWN IS SET TO ALL SEASONS
5. SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM

NOTE for ALL TEAM OFFICIALS: RIS-AL, CATT, CRC and your Hockey Canada Waivers must be completed, and listed in your Spordle account, in order to apply for team rostering.  You will NOT be added to your team's roster until they are complete and current (if renewal is required).

Hockey Canada Waivers must be signed EVERY season.  All four must be signed or you will NOT be rostered.

HOW TO LINK YOUR HOCKEY ID TO YOUR SPORDLE ACCOUNT:

Find your ID in your Hockey Canada Registry (HCR 3.0) Account

  1. Go to the new Spordle Hockey Canada 3.0 registry website

  2. Create an account using the email address you monitor.

  3. Go to Members tab.

  4. Find and click the blue + at the top left side.

  5. To link your children's sport profiles (or your own sport profile) to your new account, you will need to search by name and birthdate.  When you see their name, select link this member.

  6. IF YOUR HOCKEY ID IS NOT SHOWING UP IN SPORDLE, YOU DO NOT HAVE A HCR PROFILE AND WILL NEED TO CREATE A HOCKEY ID NUMBER HERE: https://page.spordle.com/bch/register/1f03d714-b6f7-64bc-871b-061ac785fee3

    • ONLY COMPLETE THIS FORM IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED WITH ICE HOCKEY IN THE PAST, OR IF YOU HAVE BUT ARE UNABLE TO LOCATE YOUR PROFILE BY FOLLOWING THE STEPS ABOVE.
    • ENSURE YOU HAVE CHOSEN RIDGE MEADOWS AS THE ASSOCIATION!!!!

To check your volunteer certifications: 

• CRC: There will be a green button under your name that says "Valid Background Check".  If it does not say this, then you DO NOT HAVE A VALID CRC.  Please request one >> here <<

• Other certifications: The Qualifications tab will show all of your certifications
