2022/23 Referee Information
This year RMMHA will host a New Officials Clinic and it is open to RMMHA members that were born in 2011 and earlier (yes 2011; so if your child is 11 years old by 31 Dec 2022 they are eligible to attend). The date and more information will be updated here, but it should be in early to mid September.
Here is a link to be added to a list of potential New On Ice Officials, this is not a registration link to become an official, it is simply for RMMHA to add you to a contact list of potential New Officials when we release any information regarding the RMMHA New Officials Clinic.
This year, like every other year, you will need to attend a Re-certification clinic through BC Hockey. Registration fees for these clinics have been greatly reduced this year for returning officials:
Level 1 - $5
Level 2 - $5
Level 3 - $5
Please check the clinics page of the BC Hockey website as clinics will begin to get posted sometime in August.
Also, as a returning official from last season you are eligible to officiate until 31 Dec 22 without recertification.
RMMHA will be running some development ice times for officials to get ready for the upcoming season. Due to last season being shortened, these development sessions are critical to have officials be able to train to work higher levels although they missed almost a season worth of experience.
Contact the RIC with any questions and check back here for updates!
