Meet Your 2020 - 2021 RMMHA Board
Dale Lupul - President
I grew up playing minor hockey in Poco. My hockey path included two years with the Ridge Meadows Flames, three years JR A for the Burnaby Bulldogs, four years at University of Wisconsin Superior, five years in the minor leagues in Louisiana and New York with an NHL tryout for the New York Islanders.
This will be my 4th year in Rustlers hockey as my son Ashton enters U9 as well as coaching the Atom A2 last season. I have a passion for coaching and enjoy being on the ice with the kids.
My favorite sports besides hockey include lacrosse, golf, and slo-pitch.
I am a Burnaby Firefighter as well as have a rustic furniture company called Rustic Meadows that I work along side my wife, Jerra.
I look forward to working with everyone in the Rustlers association for years to come.
Andrew Koran - VP Administration
As a father of three boys, I have been involved with RMMHA since the fall of 2008. My sons have played A and C as well as AAA Zone (NE Chiefs). I have volunteered for many roles, including Manager, Assistant Coach, Head Coach, HCSP, H3 & H4 Div Manager and been on the board for the last 5 years as Communications, Treasurer and VP Administration.
I have worked in the Information Technology & Communications Sector for the better part of 20 years in various Sales and Leadership positions. These experiences allow me to bring a diverse skill set of management and business transformation to RMMHA to ensure that
our members have the best Minor Hockey Experience possible.
Ryan Douglas - VP 'A' Hockey
Bio coming -
Chris Sirovyak - Treasurer
Chris and his family relocated to Maple Ridge from London, Ontario in 2013. Originally from Edmonton, he has played hockey since he was four years old up to the Junior/College level. Through that time, Chris has developed a tremendous passion for the game and also attributes much of the success in his professional life to the transferable skillsets he built as a hockey player. Outside of the rink, Chris works for TD Bank and is currently the District Vice President for Branch Banking in the Fraser Valley.
Chris is also involved in the local community in a variety of different ways. He currently sits on the board of directors for the United Way of the Fraser Valley, TD's Friends of the Environment Foundation, in addition to serving as our Treasurer with Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey.
Bonnie Segarty - Secretary
I have been on your board of directors for the past 3 years in the role of Secretary. Being on the board has given me a great deal of knowledge on how much work it takes to make each season run efficiently. As secretary I do a variety of duties; attend and take minutes for all board meetings, administration support, and photo day set up, Christmas Giving Back Campaign and over all helping in any way that I can to get the tasks completed. On the home front I am a mom and wife to Kevin, Kialee and Tyson. Our family lives in Pitt Meadows, and I work locally in Maple Ridge. Those of you who know me know that I hate the COLD, so you will always find me wrapped up in a blanket at the rink. My son is headed into his first year Midget(U18) this year, so I have spent many hours in arenas around the lower mainland. Over these years our family has made so many wonderful friendships . Hope to see you at a rink soon !
"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
Jen Marshall - Communications Director
I worked in medical administration for 14 years before making the switch to Mortgage Broker in 2016.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have two kids - a 14 year old son and a 12 year old daughter. I have always managed their sports teams and after 7 years of managing hockey teams, I decided to take the plunge to join the board.
I'm a major tea lover, a huge hockey fan, a social justice warrior of sorts and my favourite thing to do is watch my kids play their sports.
My favourite vacation spot in BC is Victoria (where my husband and I got engaged). I LOVE Maui, but then again, who doesn't?! My family is a bit Disneyland-obsessed and we can't wait to go back.
Stuart Freer - U15, U18 & U21 Division Director
Peter Mandoli - U6-U9 Division Director
I have been a part of RMMHA coaching for the last 3 years and have met so many good people along the way. My wife and I both grew up in Coquitlam & moved to Maple Ridge to raise our 2 kids. I started minor hockey late at 9 years old and was drafted at 14 by the Spokane Chiefs (WHL). I ended up playing 4 years of junior hockey in the KIJHL, BCHL and OPJHL before moving onto university. I attended UBC where I was a student/athlete, academic all-Canadian & received a BSc in mathematics. After graduation I pursued a career in Financial Planning. I continue to play beer league today with friends that I met in minor hockey.
Amelia Norrie - U11 C / U13 C Division Director
I am the mother of three hockey goons, who loves travelling, skiing and wine! I have coached, umpired and played FIELD hockey for over 30 years in both Victoria (where I grew up) and Maple Ridge (where I live). My favourite ICE hockey teams are the Rustlers and the Cudas. I plan events and raise money for work, and I am the social coordinator for my family and friends!
Nick Della Peruta - Risk Manager
I have coached and volunteered for over 8 years with the association and was voted to the board this past year as the Risk Manager and Tournament Director for the association. Having grown up in Metro Vancouver I moved to the Ridge Meadows area with my wife and 3 children in 2008.
My goal is to help guide the association through these very important upcoming years. I hope to work with the team (our board and its members) to make Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey association even better for all of our athletes and parents.
Jesse Sidhu - Sponsorship Director
Anybody that knows me well, knows my love for music. My passion for music in my early teens led me to have a super successful DJ company, working on a variety of different events for years. After being a part of so many wonderful events, that passion has now allowed me to grow and help non-profits with their events, fundraising, sponsorship, and digital marketing initiatives.
In 2010, shortly after moving to Pitt Meadows, I became the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce serving Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows, where we led the resurgence of the chamber with my executive board. While managing the chamber, I also served as a board member For The Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Arts Council and Kidsport – Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Chapter.
Currently, I am a member of The Rotary Club of Haney, where we focus on raising funds for many local organizations that do not have enough funding to run their current programming. Programs for seniors, kids hunger, and even internationally, to name a few
SUPER excited to announce that another passion of mine that is finally coming to fruition is a program that I will be launching for students in grades 4-7. Teaching kids about money, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship! Firm believer that we need to teach kids when they are in elementary school, not high school. I pretty much sucked on how to manage money, never really learnt much about it at home or school… time to change that for the new generation!!
Married and have 3 awesome boys who all love hockey. And yes, I still love to DJ!
Riley Birth - Coach Director
Riley Grew up in Port Moody playing for the Panthers. He later went on to play for provincial champions BWC in Midget. In his final year of minor hockey Riley was the recipient of an

In 2003 Riley made a career change when he quit his job and started as a Refrigeration Mechanic. In 2008 Riley Bought the company he was working for. Growing the company
from 6 to currently 16 employees.
In 2003 Riley also met the love of his life and eventually married Kelsey Haynes (now Birth) in 2004.
The Birth’s have 4 Children Kadence, Mason, Leilah and Kipton. Each child plays hockey (daddy’s sport) and Basketball (Mommy’s sport).
Riley also has a love for the backwoods. The Birth’s are often found camping, hiking, fishing or hunting.
Riley’s passion is Leadership and mentoring. He applies this everyday at work. He hopes to combine this passion with his love for coaching to enhance the skills and experience of our
coaches. Riley’s favorite coaching moments are “story time” before every hockey game. A story (often biblical or historical) and a life lesson to apply in the game.
Riley is excited and honored with his new role on the RMMHA Board. He plans to make a difference.
