ROLES AND THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Note: Your team Manager will create a volunteer rotation for your team that includes all certified parents. All of the volunteers listed can remain in the rink for their entire ice time.

COACH

  • Criminal Record Check
  • Respect In Sport (Activity Leader Version)
  • Concussion Training (CATT)
  • Safe Return to Hockey course
  • Coaching Certifications

MANAGER

  • Criminal Record Check
  • Respect In Sport (Activity Leader Version)
  • Concussion Training (CATT)
  • Safe Return to Hockey course

SAFETY PERSON 

  • Maximum of 3 per team
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Respect In Sport (Activity Leader Version)
  • Concussion Training (CATT)
  • Safe Return to Hockey course
  • HCSP course

DRESSING ROOM VOLUNTEER

  • Criminal Record Check
  • Respect In Sport (Activity Leader Version)
  • Safe Return to Hockey course
  • These volunteers will stand in or outside the dressing room (depending on age group and coach preference). They are there to provide support and be available to the team and officials. They need to stay by the dressing room during the ice time. 

 

CERTIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

COACHING COURSES

  • Email our Coaching Director, Riley Birth, to determine which courses you need: coach.director@ridgemeadowshockey.com.
  • Sign up for your applicable certifications by logging in to your Hockey Canada account: CLICK HERE.
  • MUST be registered asap and complete by Dec 1st

Criminal Record Check

  • You must do your criminal record check through our system. You cannot bring us one you've had done previously.
